Robert Holmin, born in 1955. He came into the band through Fredrik, whom he knew in high school. Lead singer with Dice for three years, bringing a voice shaped by classical training - and a love of Schubert and Schumann. After leaving the band, he studied chemistry and trained as a singer at Operastudio 67. He also spent a year at the University of Colorado in Boulder during the mid-’70s, where he made the leap from natural sciences to the arts. Back in Sweden, he earned a BA in musicology, while for three years singing in the Folkoperan chorus and for one year as a soloist with the Stockholm Operetta Ensemble. He also took courses in linguistics, German, music aesthetics, and sociology. Robert has been active in the early music and opera scenes, and has run his own indie label, RHL&B, for over 30 years. He worked for 25 years as a museum curator at the Nydahl Collection in Stockholm, combining music, history, and public outreach. As a child he often visited his grandmother in St. Louis, and later in life he travelled to Japan, Peru, Ecuador, India, and Bhutan—always curious, always listening..
